    Finland: Literary Sources
    Folklore

While this is primarily a tale written to entertain, it is based on my larger interests in mythology and the ideas of philosopher and visionary Joseph Campbell, who wrote widely about coming to terms with how we tell our own stories and invent our own myths, as well as the signs and symbols we use to define them – in essence, confronting what it means to be human.

In telling my story, my intent is to show how myths (theirs, and ultimately ours) bump up against one another, and what lies at the root of them all.
